Wichtiges Update behebt kritische Sicherheitslücke in Fritzbox-Produkten

Vor wenigen Tagen wurde eine Sicherheitslücke bei den beliebten Fritzbox-Produkten von AVM gibt, die Angreifer nutzen konnten, um auf das Gerät zuzugreifen und von dort aus beliebige (und im schlechtesten Fall) teure Telefonnummern anzurufen. Diese Lücke bestand im Zusammenhang mit der Möglichkeit, über den eigentlich sicheren Port 443 (HTTPS) per Browser auf die Konfigurationsoberfläche der Fritzbox zuzugreifen. Als vorübergehende Lösung empfahl AVM daher, diesen Port zu deaktivieren. Inzwischen steht jedoch auch ein Firmware-Update für alle Fritzbox-Modelle zur Verfügung, dessen Installation dringend empfohlen wird. Hierzu meldet man sich per Browser über die Adresse "fritz.box" auf dem Gerät an und navigiert zur Update-Funktion im System-Bereich. Sollte das Update für das eigene Modell hier noch nicht bereitstehen, sollte man zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt die Überprüfung erneut starten.

Dann mal hoffen das KD das Update schnell einspielt, denn manuell kann man kein Update bei der 6360 machen !!

Wie funktioniert denn ein solches Update über Kabel Deutschland? Ich bin erst seit 2 Wochen deren Kunde und somit im Besitz der Fritz!Box.

Vollkommen automatisiert. Der Kabelbetreiber spielt das Update ohne zutun des Nutzers auf.

Also die Kommunikation seitens AVM war gut. Ich hatte einen Tag nach der Pressemitteilung eine E-Mail von AVM. Bei Adobe sah das damals ganz anders aus…

Im Gegensatz zu Apple, reagiert AVM (Fritzbox) sehr schnell, und hilft sofort.

Apple verschweigt solche Dinge gerne über Wochen - solange es eben geht!

Da war auch bei Steve schon Apple Politik - nur kam sowas zu seiner Zeit wirklich kaum vor...
