Apple startet Countdown zu 50 Milliarden App-Downloads

Apple hat am heutigen Abend einen weiteren der beliebten Countdowns zu einem weiteren Meilenstein im AppStore begonnen. Wir nähern uns dem 50 milliardsten App-Download. Nur zur Veranschaulichung, die Zahl sieht ausgeschrieben so aus: 50.000.000.000. Aktuell steht die Zahl bei etwa 49.207.000.000 und steigt rasant. Apple vergibt dieses Mal nicht nur, wie in der Vergangenheit üblich, einen Preis, sondern gleich mehrere. Derjenige, der die 50 milliardste App lädt, erhält von Apple einen iTunes-Gutschein im Wert von $ 10.000,-, diejenigen, die die nächsten 50 Apps laden, immerhin noch einen Gutschein im Wert von $ 500,-. Auf der zugehörigen Sonderseite im AppStore präsentiert Apple zudem die All-Time Top 25 in den Kategorien kostenlos und kostenpflichtig.
