Zwar konnte man den Preis letztlich nicht gewinnen aber immerhin war "Greyhound" von und mit Tom Hanks der erste Inhalt auf Apple TV+, der für einen Oscar nominiert war. Den Oscar-Gewinn konnte man bekanntermaßen dann dieses Jahr mit "CODA" nachholen. Dennoch hat sich "Greyhound" und damit auch Tom Hanks einen Platz in der Geschichte von Apple TV+ gesichert. Und diese Erfolgsgeschichte soll nun weiter ausgebaut werden. Wie Deadline, berichtet, hat Apple eine mehrjährige Partnerschaft mit Playtone, dem Produktionsstudio von Tom Hanks und Gary Goetzman geschlossen, in deren Rahmen sowohl neue Serien und offenbar auch eine Fortsetzung von "Greyhound" exklusiv für Apple TV+ produziert werden sollen.
