Erneut Probleme durch Lockdowns: Apples Fertigungspartner stoppen Produktion

China verzeichnet dieser Tage die höchsten Corona Infektionszahlen seit langer Zeit, was man vor Ort versucht durch harte Lockdowns und komplette Abriegelungen von Städten und Regionen zu bekämpfen. Die Situation in Shanghai kann man aktuell ja auch in der Boulevardpresse mitverfolgen. Aber auch andere Regionen sind betroffen und dort unter anderem auch Fertigungspartner von Apple. Wie Nikkei Asia berichtet, könnte hiervon auch die Fertigung von iPhones, iPads und MacBooks betroffen sein. So wurde offenbar bereits die Produktion an verschiedenen Standorten von Apples Fertigungspartner Pegatron gestoppt, wo normalerweise ca. 20% bis 30% der kompletten iPhone-Produktion stattfindet.

Ebenfalls betroffen sein soll auch der Fertigungspartner Quanta, der für die Endmontage von MacBook Air und MacBook Pro verantwortlich ist. Gleiches gilt zudem auch für verschiedene Zulieferer von Bauteilen der Apple-Produkte, so dass sich bereits jetzt eine angespannte Liefersituation für die kommenden Wochen abzeichnet. Am 28. April gibt Apple seine aktuellen Quartalszahlen bekannt und es darf davon ausgegangen werden, dass dabei auch die Situation in der Zuliefererkette zur Sprache kommen wird.
