Apple TV+: Neue Basketball-Dokuserie startet am 22. April

Apple setzt seinen Vorstoß in Sachen Dokumentationen und Sport auf seinem Streamingdienst Apple TV+ fort und hat einen weiteren Inhalt mit dem Titel "The Long Game: Bigger Than Basketball" angekündigt. In der fünfteiligen Serie geht es um Makur Maker. Der 21-jährige Australier wird als kommender NBA-Star gesehen. Die Serie beleuchtet seinen bisherigen Werdegang und wird ab dem 22. April (und damit ab demselben Tag wie auch die Dokumentation über Earvin "Magic" Johnson) auf Apple TV+ zu sehen sein. Für Basketball-Fans dürfte das Datum also ein echter Festtag. Apple schreibt zu der Dokumentation:

The docuseries is an intimate look at Makur’s life as a student athlete with a dream of making it to the NBA, while unexpected physical challenges and a global pandemic threatens his college career. Off the courts, “The Long Game: Bigger Than Basketball” explores how his journey from fleeing war-torn South Sudan as a child and his tight-knit support system led him to go to a historically black university, and in turn, allowed him to make an impactful statement in the wake of America’s cultural response to the Black Lives Matter movement.
