Für kleine Unternehmen in den USA: Neuer Dienst "Apple Business Essentials" offiziell gestartet

Per Pressemitteilung hatte Apple im vergangenen November den Start eines neuen Dienstes namens Apple Business Essentials angekündigt. Der abonnementbasierte Dienst richtet sich, wie man bereits am Namen erkennen kann, vor allem an kleinere Unternehmen mit bis zu 500 Mitarbeitern und enthält ein Gerätemanagement inkl. Einrichtung und Nutzer-Onboarding, iCloud-Speicher und einen optionalen 24/7-Zugriff auf den Apple Support. Auf diese Weise möchte man den genannten Unternehmen den Umgang und das Management mit den eigenen Produkten vereinfachen. So wird es auch eine spezielle Apple Business Essentials App geben, über die die Mitarbeiter dann Zugriff auf vom Unternehmen ausgewählte Apps wie Webex oder Microsoft Word haben.

Unmittelbar nach der Ankündigung startete der Dienst als kostenlose Beta für kleine Unternehmen in den USA. Heute nun ist der endgültige Startschuss gefallen. Die Abonnement-Preise gibt Apple mit einer Spanne von 2,99 und 12,99 Dollar pro Monat, pro Nutzer an. Die Unterschiede ergeben sich aus der Anzahl der zu verwaltenden Geräte und der Menge des gebuchten iCloud-Speichers. Optional lässt sich zudem auch AppleCare+ zu dem gewählten Apple Business Essentials Abonnement hinzufügen. In diesem Fall gibt Apple an, dass die Mitarbeiter selbständig einen Support-Fall über die App eröffnen können, woraufhin ein von Apple bestellter Techniker bei Bedarf innerhalb von maximal vier Stunden vor Ort ist.
