Neue Generation des iPad Pro inkl. M2 Chip soll im Herbst erscheinen

Apple hat das diesjährige Frühjahrs-Event genutzt, um neben dem iPhone SE und dem Mac Studio auch eine neue Generation des iPad Air samt M1 Chip zu präsentieren. Exakt ein Jahr zuvor hatte man bereits das iPad Pro mit diesem Prozessor ausgestattet. Seither wartet das Gerät auf ein Update. Dieses soll dem Bloomberg-Kollegen Mark Gurman zufolge im Herbst erscheinen und dann auch den M2 Chip mit an Bord haben. Dies berichtet Gurman in der aktuellen Ausgabe seines "Power-On" Newsletters. Dabei bezieht sich der Experte auch auf das zurückliegende Event, welches ohne neue Pro-Modelle des iPad verstrich. Der Herbst ist aus seiner Sicht nun ein schlüssiger Termin, zumal dann auch der M2 Prozessor reif für die große Bühne sein dürfte. Als weitere Neuerung soll unter anderem auch ein MagSafe-Ladeanschluss inkl. der Möglichkeit des bidirektionalen Ladens von iPhones, Apple Watches und AirPods an Bord sein.
