Frühjahrs-Event: AR Easter-Egg, Livestream, Wallpaper und Countdown-Widget

Der gestrige Abend stand natürlich voll und ganz im Zeichen der Ankündigung des diesjährigen "Peek Performance" Frühjahrs-Events am 08. März. Ähnlich wie schon bei den letzten Events hat Apple auch dieses Mal wieder ein kleines Augmented Reality Easter-Egg auf seiner Event-Webseite platziert. Besucht man die Seite mit einem iPhone und tippt anschließend auf das Apple-Logo auf der Event-Grafik, startet eine interaktive Animation des Event-Logos als eine Art AR-Portal. Anschließend kann man hiermit noch ein wenig herumspielen und den Betrachtungswinkel durch swipen, pinchen und drehen verändern. Erneut cool gemacht!

Vor dem Hintergrund das Apple auch sein diesjähriges iPhone-Event aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie komplett online abhalten wird, geht man auch hier in diesem Jahr neue Wege beim Livestreaming. So wird die Veranstaltung am kommenden Montagabend ab 19:00 Uhr deutscher Zeit nicht nur über die klassischen Wege wie das Apple TV, die Apple Webseite oder die Apple Developer App zu sehen sein, sondern auch für alle Nutzer über Apples YouTube-Kanal. Passend hierzu steht dort nun bereits das Event Video zur Verfügung, welches es den Nutzern zudem ermöglicht, eine Erinnerung für den Beginn der Keynote zu setzen (YouTube-Anmeldung erforderlich) und sich so rechtzeitig noch einmal daran erinnern zu lassen.

Selbstverständlich kann man das Event aber auch in diesem Jahr wieder über Apples Events-Webseite auf einem Mac, iPhone, iPad, PC oder jedem anderen internetfähigen Gerät mitverfolgen. Die Events Webseite funktioniert mit Safari, Chrome, Firefox und weiteren gängigen Browsern. Auch dort kann man sich übrigens eine Kalendererinnerung erstellen lassen. Auf dem Apple TV, aber auch auf dem iPhone, iPad, Mac und dieversen Smart TVs steht der Livestream darüber hinaus inzwischen auch über Apples TV-App zur Verfügung. Am Event-Tag tauchen hier die inzwischen Banner an prominenter Stelle auf.

Die Veranstaltung beginnt um 19:00 Uhr deutscher Zeit und ich werde mich natürlich bemühen, in der gewohnten Artikelform möglichst zeitnah über die Entwicklungen in Cupertino zu berichten. Dazu in den kommenden Tagen mehr.

Wer übrigens seine ganze Leidenschaft und Vorfreude auf das Event demonstrieren möchte, kann sich mit der App Days ein Widget auf den Homescreen zaubern, der einen Countdown bis kommenden Montag anzeigt. Selbstverständlich sind auch die einschlägigen Designer schon wieder aktiv gewesen und haben Hintergrundbilder mit dem aktuellen Event-Logo für alle möglichen Apple-Geräte veröffentlicht.
