The lion's share of companies see the Duties-and-Responsibilities resume format, as outdated and worthless. Instead, employers want to read what sets you apart from other candidates, including tangible instances of improvements you made for prior positions.

Selecting the duties and responsibilities resume approach, will make sure that your resume is dropped on top of the garbage pile! Hiring decision-makers don't care anymore about what you had to do at former companies. Instead, they must be shown the unique added value you have made.

Should you use a general one-size-fits-all resume, that you can submit anytime, anywhere, for any occupation? Answer: It is a dumb idea! The reality: Companies are expected to handle as much as four hundred resumes in a single day! As a result, they throw out every resume which is not definitely targeted to the position being hired.

A surprising fact is that 4 out of 5 available jobs (and specifically nearly 100 of the top employment), are only accessible inside the "hidden" career market. This means the power pathway to rocketing your pay level, is to discover the primary reasons the most wanted work are "posted" inside this concealed job market, but almost never the tiny print magazine or online career market.

Are you aware that 4 out of 5 job offerings (especially pretty-well 100 of the most wanted work), are only hired within the "hidden" career market. So the key to accelerating your pay level, is to discover the most frequent reasons the highest-paying work are available only within this little-known job market, but almost never the deplorable public or internet job market.

Prevent losing the job being hired by submitting a general resume! What a general resume does, is show how you look no better than anyone else - not how you stand above your competitors for the same job.

Many years ago, job searchers were taught that the resume should contain a list of point-form duties and responsibilities performed during every job we've ever had - and the bigger the list the better. Not anymore! Nowdays, hiring decision-makers can only take a dozen seconds (possibly much less) when glancing through your resume. Do not choose the Duties-and-Responsibilities resume format!

Nowadays, companies need to see the specific job title you are trying to apply for - while a general resume doesn't have this. In addition, they instantly need to figure out what positively distinguishes you - and a general resume makes you look identical to the hundreds of general resumes they have already had sent to them.

Did you know that eighty percent of job offerings (most importantly almost all of the best work), are only posted inside the "hidden" job market. So the key to boosting your employment choices, is to determine the principal reasons the best occupations are available only within this hidden employment market, but almost never the pathetic print magazine or internet job market.

Long time ago, job hunters were taught that each resume needs to include a collection of bullet-point duties and responsibilities for any job we've ever occupied - and the higher the number the better. Not today! These days, companies will only take 10 seconds (maybe even less) when reviewing your resume. Do not use the Duties-and-Responsibilities resume approach!

Almost all organizations see the duties/responsibilities resume approach, as snooze-worthy and worthless. Instead, employers must discover what makes you a better choice than other resumes, with actual examples of contributions you've made at previous employers.

Are you aware that eighty percent of jobs (including pretty-well 100 of the most wanted positions), are only reachable within the "hidden" career market. Which means the secret to rocketing your success, is to find out the most common reasons the highest-paying occupations are "posted" inside this rarely discussed career market, instead of the laughable paper media or cyberspace career market.

Way back in the past, we were taught that your resume needs to contain a group of point-form duties and responsibilities for every job we've ever had - and the more the better. Not today! Nowdays, companies plan to only allow fifteen seconds (sometimes not even that) when glancing through your resume. Do not choose the Duties-and-Responsibilities resume template!
