AirPlay 2 und HomeKit: Sony stellt Firmware-Update für Bravia-Fernseher bereit

Apple-Nutzer, die einen Sony Bravia-Fernseher (Produktreihen AG9, ZG9, XG85/XG87 und XG95) ihr Eigen nennen, können darauf ab sofort das nun freigegebene Firmware-Update V6.3598 installieren. Dieses sorgt nach der Installation dafür, dass sich die Fernseher ohne zusätzliche Hardware auf Apples AirPlay 2 Protokoll und HomeKit verstehen. Hiermit kann man beispielsweise direkt Inhalte von einem iOS-Gerät auf den Fernseher streamen oder diesen in das heimische HomeKit-Setup einbinden.

Installiert werden kann das Update entweder über den Menüpunkt "Automatisch nach Update suchen" oder auch manuell über einen USB-Stick. Den Software-Download inkl einer ausführlichen Installationsanleitung hat Sony auf seinen Support-Webseiten bereitgestellt.
