Nach Diskussion um DSL-Drosselung: Telekom erhält Abmahnung wegen Drosselung von LTE-Tarifen

Okay, das war beinahe abzusehen. Nachdem die Telekom erst kürzlich von der geplanten Geschwindigkeitsdrosselung bei DSL-Flatrates Abstand genommen und stattdessen die (Wieder-)Einführung von Volumentarifen beschlossen hat, könnte nun bei Mobilfunktarifen ähnliches anstehen. Eine kurze Rückblende verrät uns, dass eine Abmahnung der Verbraucherzentrale NRW den Stein ins Rollen gebracht und das Landgericht Köln auf den Plan gerufen hat. Dieses hatte Ende Oktober in einem Urteil zu dem Thema verkündet, dass Kunden mit dem Begriff "Flatrate" nicht ein bestimmtes Datenkontingent, sondern für einen Festpreis eine bestimmte, erworbene Geschwindigkeit verbindet, was gegen die ursprünglichen Pläne der Telekom sprach. Offensichtlich hat die vollzogene k(l)eine Rolle rückwärts nun die nächste Verbraucherzentrale dazu ermutigt, auch gegen die Drosselung von LTE-Tarifen vorzugehen. Von der VBZ Sachsen heißt es nun: "Wir sind der Meinung, dass der Tarif "Call & Surf Comfort via Funk" die Verbraucher unangemessen benachteiligt, weil er eine Geschwindigkeitsdrosselung nach Verbrauch eines bestimmten Surfvolumens vorsieht". Als Aufhänger bringt man zudem das Argument, dass besonders die Bewohner ländlicher Regionen, die ja eigentlich am meisten vom LTE-Ausbau profitieren sollten, damit in die Irre geführt werden. Als Folge erhielt die Telekom eine Abmahnung der Verbraucherzentrale mit einer Frist bis zum 11. Dezember. Bis zu diesem Datum soll die Telekom eine Unterlassungserklärung abgeben, ansonsten landet der Fall vor Gericht. (via iFun)

Auch wenn der zeitkliche Rahmen natürlich für einen direkten Zusammenhang mit der DSL-Diskussion spricht, stellt sich mir schon lange die Frage, wie der Begriff "Flatrate" mit einer Drosselung der Geschwindigkeit auf ein unbrauchbares Maß in Einklang gebracht werden kann, wie es bei Mobilfunktarifen schon seit einigen Jahren der Fall ist. Egal was letzten Endes bei der Geschichte herauskommt, eine Klärung des inzwischen doch ebenso stark überstrapazierten wie aufgeweichten Flatrate-Begriffs ist mehr als überfällig.

Mir ist es ehrlich gesagt egal ob nun eine Drosselung ab einem bestimmten Mobilfunkvolumen stattfindet oder nicht, Hauptsache ich kann etwas nutzen. Wenn dabei herauskommt, dass die aktuellen Tarife nur noch als Volumentarif bezeichnet werden dürfen, dann ist allen geholfen und Klarheit geschafft.
Vielleicht gibt es bald die ersten Anbieter, die eine echte unbegrenzte Flat anbieten. Natürlich erst einmal für viel Geld. Aber es wäre sehr gut.

Gut so, wenn ich bei der Telekom mal meine 300MB überschreite, kann man es außerhalb nicht mehr verwenden. Selbst einfache E-Mails abrufen wird mit Zeitüberschreitungsfehlern zur Qual. Das ist keine Flat, denn dann müsste es den ganzen Monat verwendbar sein. Immerhin reichen mir die 300 MB in den meisten Monaten vollkommen aus.

Ok wäre es, wenn die Telekom nach Aufbrauchen des Volumens noch eine 2000er Verbindung zulassen würde. Dann würde ich auch den LTE-Tarif buchen.

Ich hab Comfort M 750 MB mit LTE und Allnet Flat. Wenn ich gegen Mitte des Monats die 750MB aufgebraucht habe, kann ich wirklich nichts mehr machen. Nicht einmal Bilder über What's App versenden. Da war E-Plus/ Base viel besser allerdings nur im gedrosselten Zustand. Laut Hersteller Angabe soll aber im gedrosselten Zustand trotzdem Telekom viel besser sein - Schwachsinn!!!

Das Problem liegt doch einfach darin, das es im Mobilfunk schon immer eine Selbstverständlichkeit war das nach einem bestimmten Volumen gedrosselt wird. Ob 50 MB oder 10 GB. Im Mobilfunk bedeutet Flatrate fürs Internet nur das man keine weiteren Kosten hat, es sei denn man will nicht mit der Drosselung leben. Dann kann man ja Volumen nachbuchen. Es handelt sich im Mobilfunk De facto um Volumenflats. Sicherlich wären richtige Flatrates wünschenswert. Aber das wird es dann nicht für 19,95 geben. Und auch nicht für 50€. Die aktuellen Verträge bei der Telekom Complete Comfort Premium kostet 150€ im Monat und beinhaltet 20 GB im Monat. Bei Vodafone der Red Premium für 100 Euro mit 10 GB. also ausgegangen von den aktuellen Preisen wird eine echte Flatrate um die 150 - 200 Euro und mal ganz ehrlich wer ist bereit das zu bezahlen für einen Vertrag. Ferner gilt auch zu beachten inwiefern bei Verträgen mit echten Flats sogenannte Combicards für Sticks oder Tablets buchbar sind, denn dies ist für einen Mobilfunkanbieter dann noch weniger Rentabel.

Mich bringen die meisten Kommentare ja zum Schmunzeln, bisher war die Drosselung nach X MB/GB gängige Praxis. Jeder wusste Bescheid, jeder könnte sich bei nahezu jedem Anbieter einen Vertrag nach seinem Bedarf aussuchen und wenn das Volumen verbraucht war, war die Drosselung auch selbstverständlich, wenn auch vielleicht manchmal unerwartet und ärgerlich.
Aber nun so zu tun, als sei es eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit ist doch übertrieben. Wenn es die Diskussion um die Flatrates im Dsl Bereich nicht gegeben hätte, dann würde sich jetzt auch keiner aufregen. ;)
Aber Flo hat schon Recht, der Begriff Flatrate gehört nun geklärt.
