Bei Instagram-Nutzern ist es eine der beliebtesten Funktionen. Mit einem einfachen Doppel-Tap auf ein angezeigtes Foto kann man dieses mit einem Herzchen versehen und so sein Gefallen dokumentieren. Neudeutsch nennt sich das dann Like und oftmals hat man das Gefühl, als tendiere deren Aussagekraft irgendwo gen Null, da die meisten Nutzer doch allzu gedankenverloren ihr Herzchen beim Durchscrollen durch den Feed hinterlassen. Nichts desto trotz dürfte eine solche Like-Funktion demnächst auch ihren Weg zu WhatsApp finden, wo man dann auf schnelle Art und Weise auf eine erhaltene Nachricht reagieren kann.

Bereits vor einigen Monaten soll man bei WhatsApp begonnen haben, an der Funktion zu arbeiten. Einem neuen Bericht der Kollegen von WABetainfo verfeinert man derzeit noch das eine oder andere Detail, bevor der Rollout demnächst beginnen soll. Offenbar wird die Funktion dann nicht nur in Einzel- sondern auch in Gruppenchats zur Verfügugn stehen. In Gruppen können dann alle Mitglieder auf einem speziellen Info-Tab einsehen, wer welche Nachrichten mit welchen Reaktionen versehen hat.

Laut WABetaInfo wird man auf eine erhaltene Nachricht nicht nur mit einem Herzchen reagieren können, sondern auch mit entsprechenden Emojis für Daumen hoch, Lachen, Überraschung, Traurigkeit und Dankbarkeit. Ähnlich also, wie man es auch von Facebook kennt.
