Nach Twitter führt auch Instagram demnächst exklusive Bezahl-Inhalte ein

Erst vor wenigen Wochen hat der Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter damit begonnen, sogenannte "Super Follows" eingeführt, bei denen man gegen Bezahlung Zugriff auf Exklusivinhalte ausgewählter Twitter-Nutzer wie Prominenten oder Journalisten erhält. Auch andere sogenannte soziale Plattformen wie Patreon und OnlyFans setzen auf ein ähnlich gelagertes Monetarisierungskonzept. Eine Richtung, die künftig wohl auch Instagram einschlagen wird. Dies hatte das zu Meta gehörende Fotonetzwerk selbst bereits Anfang des Jahres verkündet, nun tauchen allerdings die ersten konkreten Hinweise auf einen baldigen Start auf.

Wie die AppStore-Analysetn von Sensor Tower und Apptopia (via TechCrunch) entdeckten, wurde die Instagram-App für iOS kürzlich mit der Vorbereitung für In-App Käufe mit den Bezeichnungen "Instagram Badge" und "Instagram Subscriptions" zu Preisen zwischen € 0,99 und € 4,99 aktualisiert. Während Instagram keine weiteren Informationen hierzu liefern, dürften dies die ersten Vorboten für einen Weg sein, wie Instagram künftig einerseits selbst Geld generieren und andererseits bestimmte Influence entlohnen möchte. Ein konkreter Starttermin ist allerdings nach wie vor unklar.
