Von Zeit zu Zeit tun sich verschiedene Entwickler aus Europa zusammen, um im Rahmen ihres Projekts 12 Star Apps einige ihrer Apps für einen begrenzten Zeitraum zu vergünstigten Preisen im AppStore und auf ihren Webseiten anzubieten. Aktuell ist es mal wieder soweit und es können insgesamt 18 Apps, sieben für iOS und 11 für den Mac, im Rahmen einer "Back to School"-Aktion vergünstigt geladen werden. Eine komplette übersicht der um bis zu 60% reduzierten Apps gibt es unter 12starapps.eu, weiter unten geht es mit Direktlinks in den jeweiligen AppStore. Die Aktion läuft noch eine knappe Woche bis zum 30. Juli. Teilweise werden die Rabatte nicht auf den Kaufpreis der Apps, sondern auf die In-App Käufe angeboten.
