RSS-Feeds filtern mit Yahoo! Pipes

RSS-Feeds bieten eine tolle Möglichkeit, sich über das Nachrichtengeschehen auf verschiedenen Webseiten auf dem Laufenden zu halten. Manchmal ist es jedoch so, dass ein RSS-Feed viele Artikel enthält, die für einen selbst uninteressant sind. Mit Yahoo! Pipes gibt es jedoch eine gute Möglichkeit, den jeweiligen Feed nach eigenen Wünschen und Themengebieten zu filtern. Auf diese Art und Weise wird eine neue Feed-Adresse erzeugt, die dann nur noch die gewünschten Themen enthält. Benötigt wird hierzu lediglich ein kostenloses Yahoo!-Konto. Anschließend können beliebig viele Pipes angelegt werden, die jeweils auch eine eigene Funktion haben können. Und für alle Twitter-User, auch die RSS-Feeds der einzelnen Twitter-Konten können auf diese Art und Weise gefiltert und dann direkt in den RSS-Reader umgeleitet werden. Aus meiner Sicht ein äußerst hilfreiches Tool bei dem Versuch, den persönlichen Nachrichten-Overkill in den Griff zu bekommen und zu strukturieren. Nach dem Klick folgt eine kurze Anleitung für das erstellen einer Yahoo! Pipe.
  1. Yahoo!-Account anlegen.

  2. Klick auf "Create a Pipe."

  3. "Fetch Feed"-Modul in die Editing Area ziehen.

  4. URL des zu filternden Feeds eingeben.

  5. Das Modul "Filter" aus dem Bereich "Operators" in die Editing Area ziehen.

  6. Die Module "Fetch Feed" und
    "Filter" verbinden, indem man den Punkt unter "Fetch Feed" anklickt und zu dem Punkt oberhalb von "Filter" zieht.

  7. Den "Filter" von "Block" zu "Permit" ändern.

  8. Wenn man nach Inhalten im Titel der Feed-Einträge filtern möchte, in den Regeln "item.title" auswählen und den entsprechenden Begriff eintragen.

  9. Möchte man nach Begriffen im Inhaltstext filtern, verwendet man "item.content.encode".

  10. Nun sind die Module "Filter" und "Pipe
    Output" zu verbinden, indem man wieder eine Verbindung zwischen den Modulen erzeugt (siehe Punkt 6)

  11. Anschließend speichert man die Pipe und gibt ihr einen Namen.

  12. Über "Back to my pipes" gelangt man zurück zur Übersicht.

  13. Hier erhält man dann auch die Adresse des gefilterten RSS-Feeds um sie dem bevorzugten RSS Reader (z.B. Google Reader) hinzuzufügen.
